Brief list of hardware/software requirements needed for Active Directory.
What are the minimum software requirements for Active Directory?
- Intel/AMD based computers will need to be running Windows 98 or later (98, 2000, XP, Vista)
- Latest Antivirus software/virus definitions installed
- Mac OS based computers will need to be running Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later to access network file services
As there are many security and functionality updates available for each operating system, we are encouraging the departments we are working with to install the latest patches for their operating systems before we arrive to move their computers into Active Directory. Employees who are interested in installing their updates early can get assistance by calling the helpdesk at 622-3000, press option 3.

- Apple Updates (OS X) - Open the System Control Panel, choose software updates
What are the minimum hardware requirements for Active Directory?
