Quota on EKU Fileservers

Quota is a way to control how much space a user consumes on the network drives (N:, U:, W:). Quotas are neccesary to prevent any one user or department from taking more than their fair share of space on the network file servers. The quota software used by ITDS allows us to notify a user by email when they reach or exceed their quota.

Below are the defaults for quota:

• Departmental Quota (N:\colleges\collegename\deptname): 3Gig by default
• Departmental Web (\\web\sites\online.eku.edu): 200M by default
• Faculty/Staff Home Folder (U:\): 1G by default
• Faculty/Staff Web Folder (W:\): 50M by default
• Computer Lab Folder (L:\): 1G by default
• Student W: Drive (W:\): 1G by default
