How To: Set up Outlook Anywhere at Home
Set up Outlook Anywhere
Outlook Anywhere
The ‘Outlook Anywhere’ feature for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 allows Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 clients to connect to their Exchange servers over the Internet by using the RPC over HTTP Windows networking component. This feature—connecting to an Exchange account by using Outlook Anywhere—enables Outlook users to access their Exchange Server accounts from the Internet when they are traveling or are working outside their organization's firewall.
There are several requirements for this feature:
- Microsoft Windows Vista, or Windows XP with Service Pack 2. You can also use it with Windows XP with Service Pack 1 ONLY if you also installed the Q331320 hotfix.
- Office Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2003.
How to set it up from home using Office 2003:
