Sharepoint - virus errors when viewing documents

Issue

We are aware of an issue on Sharepoint where it complains that a document contains a virus, and won't allow the user to download the document or view it.

Information

We have taken up this issue with Symantec and Sharepoint vendor support, and do not have a complete resolution yet. Rebooting the server causes the issue to go away for a little while, but it's not a permanent fix.

Resolutions

For the moment, the best resolution is to email it.systems@eku.edu indicating that you have received this kind of error while using Sharepoint. If you have other Sharepoint issues, please call the IT HelpDesk for support with those at 622-3000.
