Student W Drive Restructuring

In order to enhance the security of your personal files, we are restructuring your W: drive space into personal storage PLUS student web space.

Who does this effect?
Every student who has a student web page. Faculty/staff only need to know about this change. 

What's changing?
Your current W: drive will become PRIVATE storage; none of your documents on will be accessible via the web. A WEB folder will be created within your W: drive. Your entire web site, must be moved into this WEB folder for it to continue working. 

• This does not change the URL you are using to view your web page (http://studentweb.eku.edu/username still works).
• FTP access to your files continues to work as it did before. 

What you need to do:
Move all of your web content to the WEB folder within your W: drive. DO NOT move files with personal information into the WEB folder. Please be careful not to move files that include any sensitive information to the WEB folder.

When does this change occur?
This change will go into effect on Friday, November 6, 2009.
