Symantec Endpoint Protection

Symantec Endpoint Protection is the next-generation product that replaces Symantec Antivirus on campus.  Endpoint provides multiple layers of protection now for your computers.

Endpoint includes:

• Antivirus protection
• Antispyware
• Firewall
• Intrusion prevention system
• Application control
• Device control
  
• TruScan proactive threat scanning

The client was rewrote from the ground up to be less of a stress (resource hog) to client computers.  The new management console allows administrators to better deal and be notified of infections and breakouts.  A separate report server is no longer needed so we will now be able to plan for better security on campus by reviewing reports on common threats.

Campus should get a lot safer this coming year with Symantec Endpoint Protection!
